FAQ's

Getting to know the Author and Creator of TheLWord.us

  1. What places have you visited?

I’ve explored 25+ countries and counting. Here's a snapshot:

Africa: South Africa

Asia: Indonesia (Bali), Singapore, Japan, Dubai, and Malaysia

Central & South America: Guatemala (Antigua, Lake Atitlán), Costa Rica (San José), Peru (Lima, Cusco, Machu Picchu), Brazil, Colombia, Nicaragua, Chile, & Panama

Europe: Portugal, Spain, France, UK, Netherlands, Switzerland & Belgium

North America: Mexico (Cabo, Cancún, Tijuana, Rosarito, Tulum), Canada, Puerto Rico, and 30+ U.S. states — all launched from my home base: New York & New Jersey.

Each trip has layered me with new lessons, laughter, and the occasional sunburn I swore I'd avoid.

3.   What country would you recommend for solo travelers?

It depends — is this your first solo trip?
Mine was a domestic one: Los Angeles. Don’t underestimate traveling within your own country. It builds confidence, stamina, and taste for adventure.

If you want to venture internationally, I always suggest starting with bordering countries. Mexico and Canada are incredible and manageable options for first-timers, especially culturally vibrant cities like Tulum, Toronto, or even Tijuana. Bonus: You can walk the border in San Ysidro and literally straddle two worlds. Wild.

If this isn’t your first solo trip?
Then sis, you already know — the world is yours. With research, respect, and a little spiritual covering, you’re free to soar.

4.  Do you only travel alone?

No. I love, deeply, traveling with my family and friends. Traveling with others, on their vacations, allows me to experience them differently. Outside of obligations and the weight of daily responsibilities, their souls light up! We laugh harder. The fullness of life is felt, and getting to experience them that way, it’s Godliness. I thank God for those moments and all the moments soon-to-be lived with them.

I travel alone because I've learned sometime ago, "if you have to wait for anyone, to do anything in this life, be prepared to wait a lifetime." I learned to limit what & who I am prepare to wait for.
